Fruit Picking at Holy Cross’ Orchard Every Other Saturday Beginning Aug. 25 from 10AM-Noon
Over the next 10 weeks, we will intensively be picking fruit from the apple, pear and plum trees. Most of this fruit will be taken to Bellevue’s HopeLink to help provide fresh healthy food for hungry people. But all pickers are welcome to take a bag of fruit for their own friends and family too! And if you can only come once or stay for an hour, we will still appreciate the help bringing the fruit in!
Please meet at the Holy Cross Picnic Shelter adjacent to the Orchard (behind the church) by 10AM on Aug. 25, Sept. 8, Sept. 22, Oct. 20 or Nov. 3 or 1PM on Oct. 6. There will be coffee waiting for you. Bring a sack lunch if you want to picnic when we’re done at noon. On Oct. 6, we will be making apple cider as well, so bring a jar. On that day, we meet from 1 to 3PM.
Bring gloves, boxes, bags and a ladder if you have one. We have a few ladders to use as well.
Address is 4315 129th Pl. SE, Bellevue, WA 98006 – corner of Newport Way and Factoria Blvd. in South Bellevue
