A Community Gathering at OrchardGardens at Holy Cross Lutheran in Bellevue.
July 13-14, 2012
What a Gathering we had!
Friday night, we feasted at the festive neighborhood potluck, outdoors under the garden shelter topped off by a Chinese dance performance group. Earlier that afternoon we had had a thunder and lightening storm, but we enjoyed an evening of delight in the aftermath!
Saturday morning in the amphitheatre built by the PomegranateCenter last summer, we enjoyed original songs by Harmony Young – “We Have Only One Earth, But It Has All We Need” — and captivating stories by Kathy Lightstone that we all participated in while we laughed and laughed.
And so many fun activities! Quilt tying, sand candle making, potting plants, labyrinth walking, plein air and banner painting! So colorful and fun to explore, share and play with our friends, family and neighbors.
And after our pizza lunch, the Brazilian dancers taught us all the joyful moves and everyone danced!!!
Finally we listened to the passion and commitment of the P-patchers led by Nicole Nazarro and toured the beautiful veggies in OrchardGardens.
Explore, share, play says it all!
