On Oct. 6, Girl Scouts and Community Members gathered at the Holy Cross Orchard to make apple cider!
From picking apples, to washing apples, to cutting apples, to pressing apples, it was a sticky, delicious day.
Thanks to all the volunteers and City Fruit who loaned us their cider press, everyone went home with some fresh apple cider!
The cider was made of several heirloom varieties of apples that are in the orchard: Winesap, Esopus Spitzenburg, Yellow Banana and Duchess of Oldenburg.
